Job Summary
Administrative Officer will be responsible for coordinating Endocrinology Grand Rounds (EGR) and assisting with Continuing Medical Education (CME) matters. They will coordinate faculty searches, orient new hires, assist with IT system access and medical staff credentialing, and address various ad hoc human resources concerns. The Division Analyst will oversee facilities coordination within the division, handling maintenance and repair issues independently. The administrator will organize special projects and manage events, oversee the division's procurement processes, and handle faculty reimbursement requests. While most work can be performed remotely, occasional on‑site presence is required for meetings or EGR support.
The Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism within the Department of Medicine is seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented individual with strong verbal and written communication skills. The ideal candidate will manage multiple projects with tight deadlines in a dynamic environment, provide comprehensive administrative support to the division, and work closely with the division manager and core administrative team. The successful candidate must handle multiple tasks simultaneously with acute attention to detail, be diligent, accurate, efficient, possess a strong work ethic, prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment, analyze issues independently, and work autonomously. This position reports directly to the Division Manager.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
The salary range for this position is $29.05 - $53.50 (Hourly Rate).

Department Description The Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism is a part of the Department of Medicine at UCSF. The mission of the Endo/Metab Division includes research, teaching, and patient care. The Division operates activities at multiple sites including the Parnassus, Mt. Zion, and San Francisco VA campuses. It runs several clinical practices, conducts basic and clinical research, and educates medical students, residents, clinical fellows, and postdoctoral scholars through ACGME and non‑ACGME training programs. The Division maintains significant financial and administrative relationships with the Department of Medicine, UCSF Medical Center, and various research programs.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience or training.
Minimum 1+ years of directly relevant experience.
Ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns.
Solid communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff verbally and in writing.
Solid organizational skills and ability to multi‑task with demanding timeframes.
Working knowledge of common organization‑specific and other computer application programs.
Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality.
