Director of Preconstruction – Commercial General Contractor
Our client, a growing commercial general contractor, is seeking a Director of Preconstruction to lead their estimating and preconstruction efforts. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with experience managing commercial project estimates and bids, and leading a preconstruction team.
Responsibilities
Oversee all estimating, budgeting, and bidding activities for commercial projects
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of preconstruction professionals
Collaborate with owners, architects, and internal teams to provide accurate project cost assessments
Develop and implement preconstruction processes, best practices, and strategic initiatives
Ensure estimates align with project scope, quality, and schedule requirements
Support business development by identifying opportunities and building client relationships
Experience Needed
Proven experience managing commercial project estimates and bids
Strong leadership and team management experience
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
