We are seeking a visionary and hands‑on Finance Director to be the foundational finance leader for a rapidly expanding, technology‑centric commercial real estate financing platform. Backed by sophisticated Private Equity and Venture Capital LPs, we are not just lending; we are using proprietary technology and streamlined processes to redefine efficiency in the capital markets.
Reporting directly to the Founder/CEO, you will serve as the financial authority, transforming our strategic vision into a scalable, auditable, and transparent financial reality.
The Scope: Strategy, Stewardship, and Oversight
This high‑impact role blends technical mastery with strategic executive partnership. Your responsibilities will include:
Strategic Planning & Forecasting:
Driving the comprehensive budgeting, financial modeling, and forecasting cycles necessary to support ambitious growth and capital planning.
Financial Command & Control:
Complete ownership of the accounting function, ensuring accuracy and integrity of the books, records, and internal controls for our lending operations.
Treasury & Liquidity:
Proactive management and optimization of cash flow and treasury functions to ensure maximum capital efficiency.
Capital Partner & Stakeholder Relations:
Serving as a primary point of contact for our LP base, external CPAs, auditors, legal counsel, and other critical service providers, ensuring seamless reporting and compliance.
Executive Partnership:
Collaborating directly with the CEO on high‑level strategic initiatives, including system implementations, capital raises, and operational scaling.
Candidate Profile: The Critical Differentiator
The successful candidate will be a high‑energy finance leader with a proven ability to thrive in a startup environment while maintaining institutional‑grade standards.
Private Equity Acumen is Required:
Demonstrable experience working within or extensively auditing private equity structures, funds, or VC Funds and portfolio companies.
Deep expertise in GAAP and financial operations, ideally within Traditional PE or VC, Commercial Real Estate, Corporate Credit, or Structured Finance.
The ability to execute detailed accounting tasks while thinking strategically about the company's financial future.
Comfortable operating remotely in the short term, with a commitment to integrating into the Denver office as we transition to a long‑term hybrid model.
