Job Description Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking a Director, Precision Medicine Transactions, to join our Innovative Medicine Business Development team located in New Brunswick, Raritan, and Titusville, New Jersey. The Director will partner closely with Therapeutic Areas, R&D, Global Commercial Strategy, and other functions to enable robust landscape analysis, due diligence, partner selection, business case approvals, negotiation, and transaction execution.
Key Responsibilities
Drive landscaping, due diligence, approval, negotiations, and contracting for Precision Medicine.
Collaborate on diagnostics, digital, and data sciences for development collaborations and commercial partnerships.
Work closely with matrix teams across R&D, Global Commercial Strategy, External Scientific Innovation, finance, legal, privacy, HCC, and Procurement to advance internal Precision Medicine capabilities.
Create business cases to enable deal review and leadership decisions, systematically identifying and analyzing opportunities and risks.
Manage diagnostic alliance renegotiations and amendments.
Contribute to updates of agreement templates in cooperation with Legal and cross‑functional teams.
Prepare for annual partnering and scientific conferences; assimilate emerging trends by attending relevant meetings.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA or other master’s) preferred.
8+ years of experience coordinating cross‑functional teams.
Previous experience with diagnostic and/or pharmaceutical companies.
Track record of successfully leading complex projects or partnerships.
Preferred experience with deal making.
Ability to thrive in a matrix organization and drive projects to conclusion.
Strong analytical skills and solution‑oriented mindset.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Domestic and international travel required.
Compensation and Benefits The anticipated base pay range for this position is $150,000 to $258,750. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance‑based compensation programs, including an annual performance bonus in accordance with applicable plans.
Eligible for company‑sponsored benefits: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑ and long‑term disability, business accident insurance, group legal insurance.
Eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
Time‑off benefits: up to 120 hours vacation per calendar year; up to 40 hours sick time per year (56 hours in Washington State); up to 13 holiday days per year, including floating holidays.
