Store Manager Unassigned
Join us at Walgreens to lead full store operations across the front‑end and pharmacy, while completing an accelerated development track to become a Store Manager.
Responsibilities
Learn and master Walgreens’ operations, leading “one‑box” store operations and completing the accelerated development track.
Under the direction of the Store Manager, oversee front‑end and pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance and customer satisfaction.
Shadow and assist the Store Manager throughout the learning journey.
Complete rigorous training, including certifications, classroom and on‑the‑job learning, and rotations in other stores as assigned.
Follow individual development plans with District Manager, engaging in one‑on‑one conversations and demonstrating readiness for permanent assignment.
Monitor and improve customer experience, provide coaching, and develop plans for service metric improvements.
Supervise merchandising tasks, loss‑prevention programs, inventory management, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws.
Analyze financial data, develop action plans to improve sales and control costs, and identify growth opportunities.
Collaborate on business planning, community outreach, and retail partnerships to grow the store.
Apply people‑management practices, including training, performance conversations, discipline, and engagement strategies.
Support communication initiatives, attend critical meetings, and assist in community events.
Training & Personal Development
Complete all required certifications and training for the Store Manager role.
Attend classroom learning, online training, and on‑the‑job training, fulfilling assigned rotations.
Follow district‑led development plans and engage in continuous professional growth.
Seek self‑development through performance monitoring and learning best practices in retail, pharmacy, and management.
Implement compliance SOPs across front‑end and pharmacy, and gain proficiency in all technology systems.
Obtain pharmacy technician registration/licensure as required by state law and pursue PTCB certification if required.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of retail management experience, or High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of retail management experience.
Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including extended days, evenings, and weekend hours.
Willingness to accept an assignment into a Store Manager position if offered.
Willingness to transfer to other Walgreens retail assets within the same hiring area.
Preferred Qualifications
PTCB Certification.
Bachelor’s Degree.
Managerial experience in a Retail Store/Hospitality Manager or Assistant Manager capacity with people leadership, business management, and customer‑facing experience.

Pay Transparency The current salary range for this position is $24.04 per hour – $43.27 per hour. The actual hourly salary within this range that you will be offered will depend on a variety of factors including geography, skills, and experience.
