Summary The
acac
Director of Junior Tennis is responsible for teaching group and private lessons for all ages and skill levels. The main duty will be to assist the Director of Tennis in organizing the junior tennis program and coordinating USTA Junior Team Tennis and tournaments. The Director of Junior Tennis is also responsible for organizing and creating a social calendar for our junior members. Candidates must be knowledgeable about racquet stringing and repair, USTA Leagues, tennis court maintenance, and junior player development/10& Under Tennis.
Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned)
Assist with the supervision of all tennis play, as directed by the Director of Tennis
Provide competent tennis instruction for all groups and levels of players
Assist with the development of competitive players
Conduct private and group lessons
Coordinate USTA Junior Team Tennis Matches
Assist with pro shop sales and court bookings
Assist the Director with all club events, tournaments and USTA matches
Assist with court maintenance as needed
Represent ACAC in a professional manner at all times
Deliver outstanding service to our members, guests, and fellow team members with friendliness, direct eye contact, and a pleasant demeanor
Promote the safety and security of all participants at all times
Maintain a notable visual presence during your shifts
When necessary, communicate program policies and expectations members and/or guests to ensure a high level of safety and service at all times
Work directly with the acac Team throughout the year to efficiently maintain the highest standard of cleanliness throughout the facility while providing outstanding customer service to all members and guests
Assist with training of new staff when requested
Arrive to work in a timely manner with enough time to prepare for your scheduled shift and/or lessons
Greet members and guests as they arrive and leave the program
Remain competent in administering acac’s Emergency Action Plan and be alert and prepared for any emergency
If unable to work, proactively seek substitutes for your shifts and immediately inform supervisor of the substitution
Be in proper uniform at all times while at work and always present the acac brand and standard anytime and anywhere the acac uniform is worn
If not already certified, attend CPR/AED training provided by acac; maintain current certification for the duration of your employment
Requirements
Ability to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends
Willingness to work additional hours based on the needs of the program
Must have genuine interest in working with and interacting with children and adults of all skill levels
Prior experience instructing tennis lessons required
RSPA or PTR Certifications preferred
Education and Experience
High School Diploma required
Bachelor's degree preferred
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, pull, stretch, climb and move for duration of shift
Must be able to fully participate in all tennis activities (programs and/or lessons)
Must be able to work in warm and humid outdoor conditions
