About the Role:

NAFI Connecticut is exploring candidates for a detail-oriented and strategic

Director of Budgeting and Reporting (Hybrid)

to join our finance leadership team. This is a key position that works directly with internal program leadership and external state agencies to ensure financial accountability, efficient budgeting, and accurate reporting.

Responsibilities Include:

Serve as the primary liaison with Connecticut State Agencies like DCF and DDS for financial reporting and communication

Collaborate with program leaders to create, manage, and update annual budgets

Interpret and apply contract terms to budgeting and settlement processes

Lead initiatives that improve internal business processes and financial systems

Analyze data and trends to support informed decision-making

Drive results through cross-functional collaboration and strategic influence

Required Qualifications:

3 years of Accounting and Finance experience with 1 year experience creating budgets

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Excellent analytical, executive functioning, and problem-solving skills

Strong communication and relationship-building abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Connecticut government state agencies

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or Business Administration
