Site: The General Hospital Corporation Mass General Brigham supports patient care, research, teaching, and community service. The Neuroendocrine Unit focuses on the neurohormone oxytocin and the neurobiology of eating disorders and obesity. The Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) will support a study investigating the effects of intranasal oxytocin on emotional well‑being in adults with pituitary disease, and may be involved in additional clinical research studies in the unit.

Job Summary Following established policies and study protocols, the CRC assists with clinical research studies including recruiting, evaluating, and consenting patients; collecting and organizing data; scheduling study visits; performing clinical tests such as phlebotomy and EKGs; and maintaining and updating data generated by the study.

Essential Functions

Reviews proposals for compliance with sponsor and organizational guidelines; verifies sponsor requirements are met.

Recruits patients for clinical trials and conducts phone interviews.

Verifies the accuracy of study forms and updates them per protocol.

Prepares data for analysis and data entry.

Documents patient visits and procedures.

Assists with regulatory binders and QA/QC procedures.

Assists with interviewing study subjects.

Assists with study regulator submissions.

Reviews test results and data with NPs, study clinicians, and the principal investigator to ensure protocol requirements are met.

Develops meeting agendas to report on study progress and guides discussion related to agenda topics; documents meeting notes.

Manages study drug accountability, study supply inventory, and long‑term storage of biological samples following institutional biosafety precautions.

Serves as the primary contact for urgent clinical research‐related matters.

May assist with preparing data for abstracts, posters, or manuscripts.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required.

Experience in relevant research projects preferred (0–1 year). Some experience can substitute for a degree with a six‑month grace period.

Careful attention to detail and good organizational skills.

Ability to follow directions.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Computer literacy.

Working knowledge of clinical research protocols.

Respect and professionalism for subjects’ rights and individual needs.

Compensation Pay Range: $19.76 – $28.44 per hour. Employee Type: Regular. Grade 5.

Location & Hours Work Location: 50 Staniford Street. Remote Type: Onsite. Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40. Work Shift: Day. Schedule: United States of America.
