is recruiting a Physician Assistant to join its Emergency Medicine team. We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of emergency medicine, able to provide high quality patient care under the supervision of a licensed physician. The Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant will be responsible for performing physical examinations, diagnosing health problems, managing chronic diseases, and providing health care education to patients.

Emergency Medicine Physician Assistants are highly skilled healthcare professionals who work under the supervision of physicians in the Emergency Department. They provide a variety of diagnostic, therapeutic, preventive, and health maintenance services to patients who are critically ill or injured.
Responsibilities:
Evaluating and treating patients with emergent medical conditions, illnesses, or injuries
Performing comprehensive and problem-focused histories and physical examinations
Interpreting and correlating laboratory and diagnostic procedures
Ordering and interpreting appropriate diagnostic tests, such as blood work, X-rays, or EKGs
Implementing therapeutic intervention for specific conditions when necessary
Performing procedures such as suturing, wound care, and administering immunizations
Documenting all patient care services and monitoring patient response to therapy
Communicating with other healthcare professionals, and supervising physicians, as needed to coordinate optimal patient care
Providing patient education about treatment plans and prognosis
Communicate effectively with the clinical team to ensure total delivery of quality care.
Participate in medical staff educational programs and meetings as needed.
Qualifications :
Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program
Seeking both experienced and newly trained providers
Must possess a current, unrestricted Physician Assistant New York State license.
Must possess active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or be eligible for registration.
NCCPA certification required
Must possess active Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment or be eligible to enroll.
BLS or ACLS required.
Must possess strong communication skills both oral and written.
Ability to make decisions in high pressure situations
Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task
Comfortable with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual Spanish preferred.
We offer an attractive salary, paid malpractice, generous paid time off program, CME days plus allowance, retirement benefits and a competitive benefit package. Schedule is Monday ? Friday with minimal on call rotation, by phone only. Compensation ranges from $ 120k to 150K (not including benefits). Loan forgiveness programs are available for eligible candidates.
