Principal Electrical Engineer - Twin Cities Med Tech - Permanent Opportunity up to 165k base + 15% bonus
Please see the below requirements for a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead cutting-edge projects in the design and development of electrical and electronic systems for medical devices. This is a principal-level role where you'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and serve as a key technical interface with clients.
Responsibilities
- Drive the design and implementation of complex electronic systems.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster technical growth.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to define requirements and specifications.
- Develop schematics, documentation, and testing protocols.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering, ideally in medical devices.
- Experience working at or with design service organizations and proven ability to manage multiple projects/products simultaneously in a fast-paced environment .
- Expertise in analog/digital circuitry and hardware design.
- Familiarity with embedded firmware (C/C++) and design tools (Altium a plus).
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
