macOS Operations Location: Tampa, FL (hyrbid, 3 days a week onsite) Duration: Contract w/ possible extension
Position Summary The Systems Engineer
macOS Operations is responsible for the deployment, configuration, management, and support of macOS devices in an enterprise environment. This role focuses on ensuring secure, compliant, and efficient endpoint operations using modern device management tools. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional IT teams, provide advanced technical support, and continuously improve macOS management processes in alignment with industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities macOS Device Management Deploy, configure, and maintain macOS devices across the organization. Ensure operating systems and applications are regularly updated with the latest patches and releases. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and performance issues on macOS devices. Endpoint Management & Automation Implement and manage endpoint management solutions for macOS, including device enrollment, configuration profiles, and application deployment. Create and maintain compliance policies, security baselines, and access controls. Security & Compliance Enforce macOS security standards, including encryption, firewall settings, and application controls. Ensure devices meet organizational security policies and applicable regulatory requirements. Documentation & Training Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures. Provide training and guidance to end users and IT staff on macOS usage and best practices. Vendor & Software Management Partner with vendors to evaluate, procure, and support macOS hardware and software solutions. Track and manage software licensing and subscriptions related to macOS applications. Continuous Improvement Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and best practices related to macOS management, endpoint security, and productivity solutions. Core Competencies Accountability:

Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience supporting and managing macOS devices in an enterprise environment. Strong knowledge of macOS configuration, troubleshooting, and scripting. Hands-on experience with endpoint management platforms for macOS (e.g., Microsoft Intune). Experience administering macOS management tools such as JAMF Pro. Understanding of cybersecurity best practices for endpoint devices. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Relevant certifications (macOS, endpoint management, or device management platforms) are a plus.
