Base pay range: $125,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr.
Job Details We are seeking a highly motivated Personal Injury Defense Attorney with experience representing corporations in litigation, particularly in defending complex personal injury, premises liability, automobile negligence, third-party property claims, and medical malpractice cases. Pay will be based on your skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities
Defend bodily injury claims, including premises liability, automobile negligence, medical malpractice, personal injury, and third-party property claims.
Handle complex litigation, representing clients in insurance defense, premises liability, medical malpractice, and personal injury cases.
Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and draft persuasive legal documents, including motions, pleadings, discovery responses, and settlement proposals.
Prepare for various court proceedings—depositions, hearings, and trials—ensuring clients’ interests are fully represented.
Collaborate closely with large companies to develop case strategies and manage claims effectively.
Represent clients in commercial disputes, declaratory actions, and interpleaders.
Represent medical doctors and other healthcare professionals in administrative actions taken by regulatory boards, including the Florida.
Manage litigation from start to finish, ensuring timely filings and exploring all strategic options.
Negotiate settlements and collaborate with opposing counsel, clients, and insurers to resolve cases efficiently.
Uphold the highest ethical standards and professionalism in all aspects of client representation.
Play an active role in client interactions and case management, shaping legal strategies and decisions.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD).
Licensed to practice law in [State] with active membership in good standing.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in personal injury defense, insurance defense, or related practice areas, ideally from a large law firm background.
Proven experience managing complex litigation involving premises liability, automobile negligence, medical malpractice, third-party property claims, and insurance defense.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal arguments clearly and effectively.
Strong research, analytical, and writing skills, with a focus on drafting persuasive legal documents.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to handle high‑stakes cases.
Detail‑oriented with a strategic mindset and the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
A desire to take on a more prominent role, with increased client interaction and trial preparation responsibilities.
