Cisco Network Engineer (North)

North Kansas City, MO (Onsite) W2 Only Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Certifications (Highly Desired): CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate):

Often a minimum requirement. CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional):

Preferred for mid-to-senior roles. Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of

TCP/IP suite

and fundamental networking concepts. Hands-on experience with

Cisco IOS

and

NX-OS . Experience with

WAN technologies

(MPLS, VPNs) and

wireless networking . Familiarity with

cloud networking

concepts (AWS, Azure, or Cisco Meraki Cloud). Soft Skills: Strong

analytical

and

problem-solving skills

critical for troubleshooting complex network issues. Responsibilities: Configure, monitor, and maintain Cisco network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls. Troubleshoot and resolve network issues across LAN, WAN, and wireless networks. Support WAN technologies, VPNs, and cloud networking integration. Collaborate with IT teams to implement network solutions and maintain network performance. Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
