Responsibilities

Design or specify inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment.

Analyze production and service limitations and standards.

Recommend revision of specifications.

Formulate quality assurance policies and procedures.

Conduct training on manufacturing quality assurance, applying IPC-A-610, ESD, lean manufacturing, and SPC concepts and tools.

Review and sign engineering change notices (ECNs) and engineering drawings.

Work with quality control and production personnel to drive continuous improvement.

Track and ensure measuring and testing equipment is within calibration.

Monitor and assist the first‑article inspection (FAI) information system.

Write reports and standard work, perform employee training, and conduct statistical analysis.

Ensure production tooling is inspected and conforms to specifications before use.

Approve work orders prior to release to ensure engineering operations are properly documented.

Apply purchase order quality clauses to applicable products within an MRP system.

Assist corrective action board (CAB) as a member, providing problem‑solving and resolution.

Perform internal process audits to company specifications.

Qualifications

Education: BS degree preferred or equivalent work experience in related fields.

Experience: 3‑4 years in a quality environment; quality certification strongly desired.

Computer skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office programs and MRP systems; advanced Excel skills.

Other skills: Certified blueprint reader; good troubleshooting skills and strong communication skills required.
