Labor and Employment Litigation Associate
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Labor and Employment Litigation Associate to join our dynamic team in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in labor and employment law, specifically in handling single plaintiff cases and defense litigation. This role aims to provide exceptional legal support to our clients while navigating complex wage and hour issues and PAGA claims.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of labor and employment litigation matters, including single plaintiff cases.
Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
Conduct legal research and prepare comprehensive legal memoranda.
Represent clients in depositions, mediations, and court appearances.
Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop effective litigation strategies.
Advise clients on compliance with labor laws and regulations.
Stay updated on changes in labor and employment law and their implications for clients.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in California.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in labor and employment litigation.
Strong knowledge of wage and hour laws and PAGA regulations.
Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively.
