Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Santa Clara and Los Gatos, CA, for an Associate Counsel supporting the company’s real estate development and construction activities. The Associate Counsel will handle a broad range of legal matters related to real estate transactions, construction agreements, and general corporate needs, and will work closely with company leadership and outside counsel as appropriate. Responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and agreements; supporting real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and development transactions; assisting with construction contracts, consultant agreements, and vendor agreements; coordinating with outside counsel on matters including financing, entitlements, and litigation; advising on legal risks related to day-to-day operations; and supporting internal legal processes and compliance requirements. This role focuses on transactional and operational legal support, with specialized matters handled in coordination with outside counsel.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar
Experience with contract drafting, review, and negotiation
Familiarity with real estate, construction, or corporate legal matters
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectively
Sound judgment in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
