Grounds Lead
Position at La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club, Inc. Join our dynamic and diverse team to maintain grounds, hardscapes, beach, and tennis courts.
Compensation • $23.00 / hr (Base pay). Salary will be based on experience.

Summary Assists Landscape Operations Manager in supervising landscape and sanitation staff, maintaining grounds, hardscape, beach, and tennis courts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise and direct landscape personnel.
Consult on work assigned to Grounds.
Maintain quality control and update work standards.
Plan and schedule preventative maintenance programs; maintain logs.
Inventory repair parts and consumable supplies.
Physically inspect daily; recommend corrections.
Ensure safety program is followed.
Respond to customer requests positively.
Perform minor repairs and maintain equipment via preventative program.
Maintain grounds: cut lawns, trim edges, prune shrubs and trees, clean.
Plant grass, flowers, trees and shrubs; water soil.
Operate power equipment safely and train others.
Install, repair, and maintain irrigation system.
Maintain tennis courts, ensure top condition.
Mow and top dress par‑3 golf course turf as scheduled.
Maintain irrigation of all landscape areas.
Other duties as assigned.
Accident Prevention and Safety
Analyze tasks for potential hazards and correct promptly.
Follow safety rules and regulations.
Supervisory Responsibilities Assist in supervising Grounds Department employees: training, planning, directing work, appraising performance, addressing complaints, resolving problems.
