Area Vice President – Sales Straumann Group

(an industry leader in dental implants and related products) is seeking an Area Vice President of Sales to lead revenue‑generating initiatives and support the long-term strategic sales plan for Straumann USA.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and update the Area Business Plan to ensure company sales direction is executed for Surgical, Restorative and Digital product lines.

Create strategic business plans to deliver on sales quotas and drive that strategy.

Lead and manage a regional sales leadership team across multiple territories, ensuring sales volume and profitability objectives are met.

Hire, train, review, reward and motivate Regional Sales Directors and field sales staff; coach employees on sales techniques.

Drive new business development, manage and close significant sales opportunities.

Establish and manage sales and customer programs, seminars, and outreach to promote new account sales and emerging products.

Provide expertise in sales best practices, influencing team performance and achieving measurable impact on the sales mission.

Manage and report on regional sales pipeline, forecasting, key performance indicators, and team performance.

Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.

Travel extensively as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, etc. OR 4+ years of training in Business or Sales management.

10+ years of sales experience with 2+ years of progressive sales management experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Dental or medical device experience.

Sales team leadership experience, achieving independent sales goals while leading a team.

Exceptional leadership skills, influencing morale and fostering organizational culture.

Strong communication skills, ability to adapt language to audience.

Demonstrated ability to build high-performance teams with measurable objectives.

Proactive problem solving, analytical mindset.

Excellent customer service instincts and relationship building.

Entrepreneurial mindset.

Knowledge of Straumann products, pricing practices, and selling skills.

Effective management of an area sales operation.

Strong time management, communication, decision-making, human relations, presentation, and organization skills.

Compensation & Benefits Annual base salary range: $190,000–$230,000 + $76,000 commission range (uncapped). Vehicle reimbursement and mileage provided.
