Position Purpose

All utilities, drainage, site layout, and material inspections for a new 23‑story hotel.
Guide the development of a scenic wooded lot into a high‑end campground.
Prevent flooding of an electrical substation built in a floodplain.
Guide the development of a large apartment complex from concept to an open house.
Key Responsibilities
Perform engineering calculations in support of civil engineering design projects.
Manage projects including client communications, public input and feedback, and internal support.
Perform AutoCAD Civil 3D design/drafting in support of civil engineering design projects.
Train and provide guidance for site investigations, survey work, CAD work, and data collection.
Prepare and review engineering designs and reports, including design calculations and plan preparation.
Provide training for and guide quality assurance, ensuring projects are carried out as designed and recommend modifications as needed.
Identify engineering and surveying services needed by the client and draft proposals and estimate fees.
Coordinate with government agencies, client staff, and other professionals to obtain design information and approvals.
Required Skills & Behaviors
Consistently exercise discretion and judgment in all work tasks.
Plan, schedule work, and complete assignments within established budgets and timelines.
Work effectively with a multidisciplinary team of planners, engineers, surveyors, architects, and technicians.
Demonstrate hands‑on experience with computer applications such as AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Mentoring capability.
Organizational Relationships
Reports to the Manager of Site Services.
May have responsibility for multiple direct reports.
Required Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
PE licensure.
5+ years of experience managing site development and land transformation.
5+ years of experience in the A/E/C industry.
Travel Local travel as required.
