Role Description We are seeking a Field Services Engineer for a full‑time, hybrid role based in the San Francisco Bay Area, with opportunities for occasional remote work. The Field Services Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing lab instrumentation. Key responsibilities include providing technical support, performing preventative maintenance, delivering on‑site services, and offering exceptional customer service to meet client needs. The role also involves ensuring instruments comply with regulatory standards and assisting customers with specialized training and performance optimization. Collaboration with colleagues to address complex technical challenges will be essential.

Qualifications

Proficiency in field service, including on‑site repairs, installation, and calibration of laboratory instruments

Strong troubleshooting and technical support skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently

Experience in preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of laboratory instrumentation

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build relationships and provide clear communication

Knowledge of regulatory compliance and experience with IQ/OQ/PQ processes is highly desirable

Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, life sciences, or a related field; or equivalent hands‑on experience

Willingness to travel locally within the San Francisco Bay Area
