About the Role We’re seeking an experienced Director of Electrical Engineering to lead our electrical engineering team and oversee all design, project execution, and technical standards across the organization. This role is responsible for strategic leadership, operational excellence, innovation, and driving high-quality outcomes for complex electrical projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop electrical engineers, project managers, and technical staff
Oversee electrical system design, engineering standards, and code compliance
Direct project execution to ensure quality, safety, timelines, and profitability
Manage department budgeting, forecasting, and performance metrics
Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations
Collaborate with internal and external teams on multi-disciplinary projects
Evaluate emerging technologies and implement best practices for efficiency and reliability
Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and industry partners
Qualifications
10+ years of electrical engineering experience, including 5+ years in leadership
Strong expertise in electrical systems design, power distribution, lighting, and controls
Proven track record leading engineering teams and large-scale projects
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred)
Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred
Experience with NEC, NFPA standards, and related regulations
