We’re looking for a Software Engineer to work on the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) program.
Location & Schedule This position does not support teleworking; you will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Sunnyvale, CA. The role requires a flexible 9x80 schedule, working full-time in the office.
What Does This Role Look Like? You will be part of a dynamic team performing software engineering tasks in support of the THAAD Missile Test Equipment (MTE) team. The MTE group maintains production missile test consoles deployed at a remote production test facility and supports CONUS and OCONUS missions.
Key Activities
Design, develop, test, and maintain software for THAAD missile test consoles.
Develop, integrate, maintain, and document software as defined by technical leadership.
Adhere to or define standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.
Rapidly design, implement, document, and deploy robust software solutions.
Provide occasional 24x7 on-site support for mission‑critical systems.
Qualifications
Recent coding experience (C#, C/C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, Perl, XML, MATLAB, SQL, LabVIEW, TestStand).
8+ years of professional experience.
US Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance.
Experience in Agile software development and real‑time simulation.
Experience with GIT, Subversion, JIRA, BitBucket, Gitlab, and Jenkins.
Experience integrating or supporting test consoles and systems engineering.
Proficiency in multiplatform test console design, integration, and test.
Experience with software quality assurance personnel.
Certified Test Conductor (CTC) or Certified Principal Engineer (CPE) is a plus.
Desired Skills
Active DOD Secret clearance.
Familiarity with the THAAD weapon system.
Hands‑on laboratory experience.
Computer system administration.
Experience with real‑time simulation development.
Experience with Agile development methodologies.
Security Clearance This position requires a Secret clearance. US Citizenship is required for consideration.
