Skyline has evolved into one of the industry's most innovative manufacturers - earning recognition from Forbes, The New York Times, and Furniture Today We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Purchasing Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for sourcing materials, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely procurement of fabrics, components, and supplies necessary for furniture production. The ideal candidate has experience in purchasing, strong negotiation skills, and a keen understanding of supply chain processes within the manufacturing industry. Primary Responsibilities

Source and procure raw materials, fabrics, hardware, and other necessary components for furniture manufacturing Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors to optimize costs while maintaining quality standards Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with production teams to ensure material availability Evaluate and onboard new suppliers to enhance efficiency and diversification of supply sources Maintain accurate purchasing records, track orders, and manage supplier performance Manage material data within the accounting and ERP systems Work closely with the design and production teams to anticipate material needs and ensure seamless production schedules Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements in procurement operations Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations regarding purchasing and supplier management Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or a related field preferred 5+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing or furniture-related industry Strong negotiation and supplier management skills Familiarity with purchasing software and inventory management systems Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Knowledge of upholstered furniture materials and manufacturing processes is a plus Why Join Us?
