Area Vice President, Core Laboratory Solutions – Central – lead the growth of sales and market share of Siemens Healthineers Core Laboratory Solutions business. Senior management position with leadership responsibility to drive sales growth in the Central region, including Instruments and Assays for Chemistry, Immunochemistry, Automation, and IT. Field‑based with responsibility for driving commitment and accountability of Business Development and Territory Management sales teams to achieve or exceed sales goals. Span of control: approximately 4–6 direct reports, total FTE approximately 45–50.

This position reports directly to VP Core Lab Solution Sales, USA. It is a key leadership role that will develop and implement a customer‑centric, solution‑based selling approach, balancing customer needs with financial goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead assigned sales regions and teams to achieve or exceed sales goals across all Chemistry and Immunoassay product lines.
  • Lead direct sales teams in Business Development and Account Management to understand and address customer needs and deliver the Siemens Healthineers value‑proposition.
  • Own the implementation of key sales actions, processes, and metrics for funnel management, CRM tool rigor, coverage on critical accounts, and compliance.
  • Drive capital and reagent forecasting, ensuring quality and accuracy across all product lines.
  • Develop a tailored area commercial strategy for “must win” deals, including short‑term (3–6 months) and long‑term (2–3 year) plans.
  • Ensure continuous development of sales teams, training them in customer management, product and solution positioning, and sales processes.
  • Implement developmental plans for employee sales performance and career goals, providing feedback, coaching, and promotion planning.
  • Collaborate with Siemens Healthineers internal teams (Service, Technical Applications, Strategic Corporate Accounts, Specialty Sales, Total Laboratory Solution) for excellent customer experience.
  • Travel: Minimum of 60% throughout the territory.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Experience leading and developing employees in a dynamic, customer‑centric market; inspirational leadership, accountability, strategy, agility, change management, trust building.
  • Education: Minimum BA/BS in medical health sciences, business, or marketing.
  • Track record of leading sales teams in Core Laboratory Diagnostics (Chemistry and Immunoassay) with experience in the Chicago market and Integrated Delivery Network knowledge.
  • 7–10+ years in a complex sales environment (capital equipment, medical devices) and 5–7+ years managing direct sales teams with P&L ownership.
  • Strong business acumen with financial, market positioning, healthcare industry, and customer relations competencies.
  • Experience with CRM tools and adaptability to varied IT platforms.
  • Excellent communication with leadership to ensure visibility and alignment with priorities.
  • Proficient people management and change leadership in dynamic environments.
  • Demonstrated performance management, discipline, and motivation skills.
  • Strategic decision‑making, critical thinking, advanced sales, problem solving, and objection handling.

The Base Pay Range For This Position Is

$176,800 - $243,100. Factors such as geography, skills, education, experience, and qualifications may affect starting pay. The position is commission eligible per company plan; commissions are based on performance.
