Accountant

Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable Review Review daily invoices and expenses for three locations with multiple programs per site
Ensure accuracy and proper coding prior to payment processing
Partner closely with the AP team and program staff
Grant Accounting & Reporting (State and Federal) Prepare and review monthly grant reports
Ensure costs are allocated correctly by program and funding source
Support compliance with grant requirements
Bank Reconciliations & Cash Management Perform bank reconciliations and ensure incoming funds from funders are properly allocated
Monitor cash flow to ensure sufficient funds for payroll and operations
Manage inter-account transfers, as one location receives a higher volume of funding
Process Improvement & Oversight Provide guidance and oversight to accounting staff
Assist with developing and improving accounting practices
Automate and streamline processes (e.g., vendor templates, Excel-based efficiencies)

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, including general ledger, financial analysis, and budgeting
Prior experience supervising or providing oversight to accounting staff
Strong experience developing accounting practices and reviewing others' work
Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency in Microsoft 365
Proven ability to streamline processes and reduce errors through automation
Preferred (but can be trained) Grant and grant reporting experience (highly preferred)
