Job Description:

  • The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients seeking routine healthcare or critical health insights.
  • The PSR I is responsible for drawing high-quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing while following established practices and procedures.
  • This role involves direct patient interaction and requires the ability to create an atmosphere of trust and confidence by explaining procedures and performing blood draws in a safe, accurate, and professional manner.
  • The PSR I demonstrates leadership behaviors, process excellence, and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information while supporting daily operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe and professional work environment.
  • Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and required documentation.
  • Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • Ability to provide high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
  • Flexible availability based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call schedules, and overtime.
Experience:
  • Minimum of six months of phlebotomy experience required.
  • One or more years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
  • Keyboard and data entry experience required.
Qualification And Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred and required in certain states.
