Job Description:
- The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients seeking routine healthcare or critical health insights.
- The PSR I is responsible for drawing high-quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing while following established practices and procedures.
- This role involves direct patient interaction and requires the ability to create an atmosphere of trust and confidence by explaining procedures and performing blood draws in a safe, accurate, and professional manner.
- The PSR I demonstrates leadership behaviors, process excellence, and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information while supporting daily operations.
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a safe and professional work environment.
- Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and required documentation.
- Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
- Ability to provide high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
- Flexible availability based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call schedules, and overtime.
- Minimum of six months of phlebotomy experience required.
- One or more years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboard and data entry experience required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred and required in certain states.
