Job Description:
- The Patient Services Representative assists patients by greeting them upon arrival and supporting their check-in needs with care and compassion.
- This role helps maintain the waiting area and provides support when other team members are unavailable.
- The individual will be trained in phlebotomy skills to support growth within the organization.
- The position requires creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of patient information.
- Responsibilities include performing daily activities under supervision, maintaining a safe and professional environment, keeping required records, and demonstrating organizational commitment while promoting a positive image.
- Ability to assist patients with care and compassion during check-in using a self-service kiosk or handheld tablet.
- Willingness to learn phlebotomy skills to support workflow needs.
- Ability to perform specimen collection and processing duties once trained.
- High level of customer service skills.
- Keyboard and data entry experience.
- Minimum of 1 2 years of client-facing customer service experience.
- Prior phlebotomy experience not required.
- Greet patients and address questions or concerns with compassion.
- Maintain the integrity and cleanliness of the waiting area.
- Assist during breaks when other team members are unavailable.
- Create a supportive environment and explain procedures clearly to patients.
- Perform daily tasks accurately and on time under supervisor direction.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Maintain required records and documentation.
