Job Description:
- The Patient Services Representative I represents the face of the company to patients visiting for routine health needs or important health decisions.
- This entry-level role assists patients with care and compassion, greeting them upon arrival and addressing any questions or concerns.
- The individual helps maintain the integrity of the waiting area and supports other phlebotomists during breaks.
- They will also be trained in phlebotomy skills to grow within the organization.
- The role involves creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients in a safe and accurate manner.
- This individual will demonstrate excellence in customer care with strong attention to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
- Under the direction of the area supervisor, the representative will perform daily activities accurately and maintain a safe and professional environment.
- The individual will maintain required records, promote a positive image, and show willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to assist patients with care and compassion during check-in using kiosks or handheld tablets.
- Willingness to learn phlebotomy skills and assist during downtime or breaks.
- Ability to perform specimen collection and processing duties once trained, following established procedures.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Keyboard and data entry experience.
- Minimum 1 2 years of client-facing customer service experience (e.g., retail, home health aide)
- No prior phlebotomy experience required.
- Greet patients and assist with questions or concerns.
- Maintain the waiting area and support patient flow.
- Assist phlebotomists during breaks.
- Learn and perform phlebotomy skills upon training.
- Maintain records and documentation.
- Ensure a safe and professional environment.
- Promote a positive image to patients, clients, and staff.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Data entry and keyboard proficiency.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
