Job Description:

  • The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients who come in for routine health needs or important diagnostic testing.
  • The PSR I draws quality blood samples and prepares specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
  • The PSR I ensures a professional, trustworthy, and safe environment by explaining procedures clearly and collecting specimens skillfully and accurately.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe and professional environment.
  • Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established procedures.
  • Maintain required records and documentation.
  • Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
  • Commitment to company policies and procedures, including dress code and safety guidelines.
  • Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours across multiple locations with minimal notice.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
  • Strong customer focus with clear and open communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to change and understand business needs.
Experience:
  • 1 3 years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • 2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment strongly preferred.
  • Keyboard and data entry experience.

Qualification And Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred.
