Senior Program Manager – Product Development

Position Overview The Senior Program Manager leads a small, cross‑functional Core Team to deliver product development projects across the full lifecycle—from concept and design through development, high‑volume manufacturing, launch, and commercialization. The role ensures projects meet scope, schedule, and budget while maintaining strict compliance with design control standards and regulatory requirements. Success is measured by the quality of deliverables, adherence to design control processes, and the timely release of customized products or platform enhancements.
Responsibilities
Apply extensive technical expertise and develop technology and business process solutions to complex problems requiring ingenuity and creativity.
Create project work‑breakdown structures, integrated business plans, and product requirements, leading the cross‑functional development of product architecture and identifying critical interdependencies.
Design and perform complex development work, working within defined parameters and modifying methodologies to deliver quicker, validated results.
Ensure quality conduct of projects, including design, data summary and interpretation, report and manuscript preparation, and adherence to applicable regulations.
Act as the prime contact on contracts and projects, interacting with senior external personnel on significant technical matters and coordinating between organizations as required.
Guide the successful completion of projects by effectively organizing, coaching, and motivating a highly skilled cross‑functional team.
Perform other duties as required.
Education and Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree in sciences or business.
10+ years progressive experience as a program manager within the MedTech and/or Pharma industry, with proven product development experience and the ability to lead initiatives.
Experience with product development design control methodologies.
Knowledge and Skills Required
Ability to manage ambiguity and influence without authority.
Change leadership and the ability to act as a change agent.
Critical thinking and analytical skills for solving complex problems.
Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation, and influencing abilities.
Innovation and the generation of novel ideas for new solutions.
Project and cross‑functional leadership across product development functions.

Optimized execution balancing long‑term growth with consistent near‑term performance.
Personal effectiveness and collaboration across teams.
Commercial acumen delivered through business, financial, and commercial knowledge.
Willingness to travel approximately 15%.
Preferred Qualifications
Engineering degree is an asset; MBA or PMP preferred.
Systems engineering experience for medical devices and connected device communication protocols.
Workplace Requirements We prioritize on‑site collaboration and require a minimum of 4 days of in‑office presence per week. Remote or field‑based positions have different workplace arrangements indicated in the posting.
