Chief Financial Officer – Skywood Recovery – Augusta, MI
We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer to manage financial operations at Skywood Recovery, a premier fully‑service addiction treatment center in Augusta, Michigan. The role focuses on ensuring optimal cash flow, profitability, and compliance with accounting standards.
Responsibilities
Monitor and control accounts receivable; oversee business office functions to ensure cash collection goals are met.
Facilitate weekly A/R meetings with CEO and Business Office Manager.
Collaborate with Intake and Utilization Review to maximize patient revenue.
Improve hospital profitability by monitoring costs, payor mix, length of stay, and negotiating contracts with third‑party payers.
Prepare pro‑forma analysis for new programs and contracts to estimate outcomes.
Develop and monitor policies and procedures aligned with GAAP and corporate guidelines to ensure sufficient cash flow and reduced operating costs.
Prepare monthly financial statements, variance analysis and internal controls.
Provide reconciliations and reports for reimbursement, tax, auditors, etc.
Prepare annual budget in conjunction with UHS standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of financial leadership experience in a healthcare setting (Hospital Controller or CFO preferred).
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
Working knowledge of hospital financial operations, federal and local tax regulations, and all business office processes.
Proficient in financial analysis, schedule preparation, and spreadsheet/database manipulation.
Limited travel required.
