Position Summary The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria (UICOMP) seeks a Pediatric & Congenital Electrophysiologist to join the pediatric cardiology faculty. This role primarily works at OSF Healthcare Children’s Hospital of Illinois (CHOI) and involves clinical, academic, and administrative responsibilities.
Duties & Responsibilities
Patient care duties including inpatient, outpatient, and interventional services.
Satellite clinics in the surrounding region.
Device checks both in person and remotely.
On‑call duties for pediatric cardiology and electrophysiology.
Teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows.
Academic efforts including original research and quality improvement.
Administrative responsibilities related to the EP program.
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
MD/DO or foreign equivalent.
Eligible for licensure in Illinois.
Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Pediatric Cardiology.
3 years pediatric residency and 3 years pediatric cardiology fellowship or equivalent.
Significant experience or formal training in Pediatric Cardiac Electrophysiology, both invasive and non‑invasive.
