Job Description: The Patient Services Representative I represents the face of the organization to patients who visit as part of their health routine or for important health decisions. This role is responsible for drawing high-quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and following established practices and procedures. The role involves direct patient interaction and creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while delivering services in a safe, accurate, and professional manner. The position demonstrates leadership behaviors with a focus on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information. Responsibilities: Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor. Maintain a safe and professional environment. Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties in accordance with established practices and procedures. Maintain required records and documentation. Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public. Requirement/Must Have: Ability to provide high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision. Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections. Availability to work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime. Qualification And Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred. Experience: Minimum of six months of phlebotomy experience required. One or more years of phlebotomy experience preferred. Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred. Keyboard and data entry experience required.
