DSHS FTAA Payroll - Fiscal Analyst 3

This is a hybrid remote position, with a minimum of one day per week in-office required and additional days as business needs dictate.
Some of what you’ll do
Review and approve payroll documents and deduction forms
Consult on payroll problems, federal taxes, electronic fund transfers, insurance and other miscellaneous deductions
Analyze and execute complex payroll transactions
Reconcile agency general ledger and subsidiary accounting records
Ensure payroll reports are examined and corrected
Process, analyze and reconcile shared leave and other leave activities
Establish, monitor, and maintain payroll files for all employees are retained according to agency policy

Who should apply?
Professionals with a bachelor’s degree, which includes 18 quarter or 12 semester hours in accounting, auditing, or budgeting
Two to three years of relevant professional experience
NOTE: Professional experience may substitute for education, but not for the required credit hours. A master’s degree in a financial-related field, certification as a Public Accountant, Internal Auditor, Certified Governmental Financial Manager, or Management Accountant may be substituted for professional experience.
