Duties
Ensures all letters and packages have been properly opened and inspected by each Mail Specialist, and all safety procedures follow standard operating procedures.
Distributes work assignments, monitors attendance, and maintains supply inventory.
Initiates emergency response plans when an item is determined to have suspicious or hazardous characteristics by notifying management.
Troubleshoots mail/package issues and processing equipment.
Conducts hands‑on training and works alongside staff.
Operates mail/package processing equipment and machinery as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
