At the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club, one of Northeast Florida’s most distinguished Five‑Diamond private clubs, we are seeking an accomplished and visionary Executive Director of Wellness to lead the next exciting chapter of our Sports Club & Wellness Program.
This is a rare opportunity for a senior wellness executive to shape strategy, culture, and operational excellence across a comprehensive wellness platform—delivering world‑class, Forbes‑level health, fitness, recovery, and longevity experiences for members and resort guests.

The Role The Executive Director of Wellness is the strategic, operational, and cultural leader of the Sports Club & Wellness Facility at Ponte Vedra Inn & Club. This executive‑level role defines the long‑term wellness vision while ensuring daily excellence across operations, service delivery, and team leadership.
The position provides oversight for:
Fitness & Performance Programming
Aquatics & Hydrothermal Operations
Recovery & Regenerative Wellness Services
Hotel & Resort Wellness Programming
Wellness Concierge & Member Engagement
Medical- Wellness- Longevity Programming Integration
The role works in close collaboration with Physical Therapy, Spa, Racquets, Golf, Food & Beverage, Nursery, Retail, and Hospitality leadership to ensure seamless integration and an elevated member journey.
What Success Looks Like The successful leader will:
Position the Sports Club as a premier private‑club destination for performance, recovery, longevity, and lifestyle wellness
Deliver measurable results in member engagement, utilization, satisfaction, and wellness revenue
Design and implement signature wellness journeys aligned with Forbes Five‑Star service standards
Build, inspire, and retain a high‑performing multidisciplinary wellness team
Introduce innovative, data‑driven programming while honoring the heritage and standards of Ponte Vedra Inn & Club
Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership
Establish and execute a long‑term wellness strategy aligned with club and resort objectives
Develop signature, integrated wellness journeys across fitness, spa, aquatics, outdoor movement, and longevity partnerships
Introduce elevated hotel guest programming, curated retreats, and in‑room wellness experiences
Operational Excellence
Oversee daily operations with a commitment to Forbes Five‑Star service, safety, and qualityDirect fitness, aquatics, hydrothermal, recovery, and hotel wellness offerings
Implement and maintain SOPs, service audits, facility readiness, and preventative maintenance standards
People & Culture Leadership
Recruit, mentor, and develop a world‑class team of wellness professionals
Foster a culture grounded in excellence, accountability, and personalized service
Champion continuous learning, service standards, and colleague engagement
Innovation & Integration
Leverage technology, wearables, diagnostics, and data dashboards to deliver personalized, measurable wellness outcomes
Expand wellness retail and lifestyle offerings that enhance the member experience and drive revenue.
Collaborate with medical and longevity partners to evolve advanced wellness programming
Financial & Member Experience Leadership
Manage multimillion‑dollar operating and capital budgets responsibly
Drive wellness memberships, revenue streams, and guest engagement initiatives
Achieve KPIs related to satisfaction, retention, utilization, and guest spend
Maintain a visible, gracious, and solutions‑focused presence with members and guests
Qualifications Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, Exercise Science or a related wellness field required
Master’s degree (MBA, MPH, Integrative Health, or similar) preferred
Clinical or allied health background (Exercise Physiology, Physical Therapy, or related) highly desirable
Experience & Credentials
Minimum 8 years of senior leadership experience in luxury wellness, spa, sports club, or medical‑wellness operations
Proven success managing multi‑department, large‑scale wellness facilities
Demonstrated expertise in program development, hospitality integration, and Forbes Five‑Star service delivery
Strong commercial acumen with experience in P&L management, revenue growth, and wellness retail
Professional certifications preferred (ACSM, NASM, NSCA, AHA, Red Cross Water Safety Instructor)
Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification required
Knowledge & Leadership Capability
Deep expertise in fitness, aquatics, hydrothermal, recovery, and lifestyle wellness programming
Strong understanding of evidence‑based health, fitness, and longevity practices
Ability to lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams with clarity, innovation, and purpose
Fluency with wellness technology platforms, member engagement systems, and performance dashboards
Familiarity with nutrition‑forward wellness and “Food as Medicine” concepts preferred
Physical Requirements
Ability to drive a motor vehicle
Ability to lift, carry, and remain active for extended periods
Compensation
Executive‑level compensation commensurate with experience, including base salary, performance incentive, and comprehensive benefits.
