Job Summary
The Director of Business Growth is a critical role for the team and will develop long‑term growth strategy for multiple business segments at Sysco. This position works with leadership and strategy counterparts to identify priorities, manage trade‑offs, and deliver on the business strategy.
Key responsibilities include supporting high‑priority areas by conducting competitive and disruption analysis, framing and structuring ideas to make them actionable, evaluating new market opportunities, creating business cases, and researching emerging solutions for potential digital adoption.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop growth strategy and three‑year strategic plan for multiple business segments.
Lead initiatives to drive acquisition and penetration of customers via sales channels and direct‑to‑consumer channels.
Lead a team to recommend solutions from customer and business perspectives, including content creation and end‑to‑end customer journey mapping.
Present on growth roadmap to the ELT, including the CEO, to drive key transformation initiatives.
Education Required
Bachelor’s degree.
Education Preferred
MBA.
Experience Required
4‑6 years post‑MBA experience.
Engagement manager or equivalent level experience at top‑tier management consulting firms, with significant work in developing and executing growth, go‑to‑market, and/or commercial strategy.
Experience Preferred
Experience in food service and B2B industries preferred but not required.
Technical Skills & Abilities
Strategic and tactical thinking from a customer perspective.
Problem structuring and cross‑functional leadership.
Excellent analytic and problem‑solving skills.
Strong interpersonal, leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
