Managing Director, Transaction Strategy
KPMG US is seeking a Managing Director in our Transaction Strategy practice.
Responsibilities
Lead creation and implementation of Transaction Execution (integration and/or separation) services for clients with a focus on Financial Services clients.
Direct and participate in business development focusing on M&A Integration & Separation and Deal Advisory, including curating a strong professional network, identifying opportunities, maintaining a strong market presence, proposing KPMG services, negotiating terms and closing engagements.
Lead cross-functional teams in developing and implementing client services and presentation of final client deliverables.
Oversee the quality of client engagements and the development of staff.
Lead and participate in practice building, including recruitment and training, thought leadership, management and mentorship of staff, and solution development.
Qualifications
Minimum twelve years of recent experience in developing and implementing M&A integration and separation services within a consulting advisory firm or corporate planning, development, or management function.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university/college; MBA preferred.
Experience selling and leading multiple, complex initiatives throughout the M&A life cycle.
Demonstrated business development skills, including fostering a strong professional network, scoping opportunities, leading pursuits and negotiating terms.
Eight plus years of experience working with or for clients in the Financial Services industry.
Excellent consulting skills: analytical, written and verbal communication, client presence, facilitation and presentation skills, and extensive experience in project management, including planning, organizing, coordinating and managing staff, clients and/or partners towards the successful completion of a project.
Willingness and ability to travel as needed, including international travel.
