Job Overview
The Operations & Logistics Manager will oversee all functions of the Mail Services department, supervising the Mail Services team and the Outbound Mail Supervisor. The role serves as liaison between the university and third‑party mail carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.), overseeing outbound shipping—including shipments to the Qatar campus—bulk mailings, postage account management, and internal billing to university departments. This position reports to the Senior Director of Dining and Auxiliary Services and is responsible for critically evaluating Mail processes and proposing improvements to enhance efficiency and customer service, including technology and equipment upgrades. It also assists with contract management for enterprise‑level managed print services, vending, and other auxiliary services.
Work Interactions Reports to the Senior Director of Dining and Auxiliary Services as part of the Auxiliary Business Services and Real Estate team. Daily interactions with university faculty, staff, students, and external vendors.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 2–3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or operations, plus 5+ years of supervisory experience.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Experience preparing, analyzing, and managing departmental expenses, including profit and loss statements.
Experience with time‑keeping procedures, labor laws, and performance management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel) and Google Suite.
Preferred experience in contract management.
Work Mode Designation On‑campus. Work mode designations are reviewed regularly to meet evolving needs.
Pay Range $47,586.00 – $87,558.13. Compensation determined by qualifications, experience, education, skills, certifications, and business needs.
