Clayton Valley Charter High School is seeking a dynamic Head Football Coach to lead our championship‑minded Ugly Eagles program. We’re looking for a leader who puts students first, develops athletes on and off the field, and builds a positive, competitive culture.

Responsibilities

Lead all levels of the football program

Develop practice plans, game strategy, and off‑season conditioning

Mentor athletes in academics, sportsmanship, and safety

Support and supervise assistant coaches

Communicate effectively with families, athletes, and staff

Qualifications

Football coaching experience; previous high school coaching experience preferred

Strong leadership and communication skills

Ability to connect with students and build community

Must meet CIF and CVCHS coaching clearance requirements

Credential not required to apply

Additional Information A teaching position may be available for the selected candidate; however, it is not required for consideration for the coaching role. A credential is not required to apply.

Requirements / Qualifications Please attach the following to your application:

Current (through the end of the season) First‑Aid/CPR/AED Certification

Completion of the following NFHS courses: Fundamentals of Coaching, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, Concussions in Sports

Knowledge of the sport to be coached and the ability to work with high school students

Previous high school coaching experience (Preferred)

CPR/First Aid Certification

Letter of Introduction

Letter(s) of Recommendation
