Description Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely month-end and year-end closes.
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and recurring entries.
- Oversee payroll tax processes, including preparation, review, and timely submission of Form 940 (FUTA) and Form 941 (Quarterly Federal Tax Return).
- Collaborate with payroll providers or internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance with federal and state payroll tax regulations.
- Manage fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation schedules, asset disposals, and reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Contribute to process improvements and the development of internal controls.

Requirements Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience). REQUESTED/NOT REQUIRED.
- 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a general ledger or staff accountant role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting best practices.
- Experience preparing and filing Forms 940 and 941; familiarity with payroll systems and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in fixed asset accounting and related software tools.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Sage,ADP,Foundation,Fleet Cost and Care) and Excel with Pivot Table Experience.
