- Ensure compliance with all accounting policies, procedures, and GAAP standards.
- Supervise, mentor, and coach accounting staff, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Conduct and review reconciliations of general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Analyze financial statements to validate accuracy and compliance.
- Partner with internal and external auditors, providing requested information and documentation.
- Maintain and update documented systems of accounting policies and procedures.
- Manage month-end close processes, including completion of checklist requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend/implement solutions.
- Train new hires and provide ongoing support to develop staff capabilities.
- Perform additional accounting and reporting duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting practices.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and developing teams.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to process and interpret large volumes of numerical data accurately.
- Experience working with internal and external audit processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
