- Review Job Costing to ensure GAAP compliance.
- Compare actual performance with anticipated results, making necessary financial amendments as required.
- Compile audit paperwork when needed.
- Examine periodic job cost reports, spot check cost activities, create budgets and semi-annual forecasts, and discern variances.
- Communicate with project managers to troubleshoot issues and enhance decision-making process.
- Manage and direct the operations of the accounting team, serving as a mentor to develop their abilities and foster professional progression.
- Work alongside project management to gather estimates and distribute prompt monitoring reports to project managers and other corporate leaders.
- Ensure adherence to GAAP, firm policies, and contractual obligations.
- Oversee a reliable internal control system.
- Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in an accounting role
- Experience in Month End Close
- Audit or construction accounting experience preferred
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred, but not required.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel
