Role Overview KBR is seeking a

Senior Director of Capture Excellence

for the Science & Space (S&S) organization. The Senior Director will report to the Vice President of Growth for S&S and oversee the capture team and efforts for S&S federal government pursuits. Responsibilities include developing and leading the team of capture managers through the full lifecycle of business development, ensuring capture leads leverage the KBR capture process to develop a thorough understanding of the opportunity, customer, and competition, and creating winning proposals. The Senior Director will manage roughly 11 direct reports.

Responsibilities

Oversee all capture efforts with a focus on mentoring and leading the team of capture managers.

Ensure individual capture leaders possess the skills and abilities to operate across the entire business development cycle.

Participate in milestone and color team reviews, contributing to process enhancements and win strategies.

Assist leaders in developing thorough capture plans and drive the foundation for compelling win strategies, technical and management approaches.

Improve Capture Excellence of the organization through process improvement, training, strategic thinking, and a disciplined capture approach.

Qualifications Growth‑minded individual with a minimum 20 years’ experience managing federal government business development and capture teams of 10+ people, pursuing Single Award contracts valued greater than $300 M.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Business Administration, or a technical degree.

Demonstrated successes reflecting the ability to grow the business.

Strong skill in business writing – both technical and non‑technical.

Familiarity and experience managing the pipeline and utilizing tools such as Salesforce.

Demonstrated ability to work with senior business and government leaders and to provide leadership within the workplace.

Experience with competitive analysis and strategic pricing.

Demonstrated interpersonal skills to work with Executives and lead teams.

Experience winning large‑scale programs over $300 M in the federal government.

Experience developing account plans and capture plans for new business opportunities.

Proven individual BD and/or Capture experience with demonstrated wins.

Basic Compensation $226,800.00 – $340,100.00 (rate based on contract affordability, location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and internal parity).

Additional Compensation KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, including sign‑on bonus, relocation benefits, short‑term incentives, long‑term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
