Responsibilities
NORTON NEUROSCIENCE INSTITUTE
is seeking a fellowship-trained neurologist with an interest in neuromuscular disorders. The ideal candidate will join a team of board-certified neurologists who are fellowship-trained in clinical neuropsychology and neuromuscular neurology; specialty-trained physical, occupational and speech therapists; and advanced practice providers. The neuromuscular team works closely with other specialists who are part of the Norton Neuroscience Institute ALS Clinic. Norton Neuroscience Institute has a comprehensive neuroscience space which includes a neurodiagnostic center with the latest in electromyography (EMG) and ultrasound technology. The diagnostic center expands the services of our other neurophysiology/EMG labs to support a strong demand for electromyography at Norton Healthcare. Norton Neuroscience Institute is the leading provider for neuroscience services in the area, and our neuromuscular program has strong established referral patterns from other Norton Neuroscience Institute neurologists, providers within Norton Medical Group and community providers seeking tertiary expertise throughout the region.
About the Position
Fellowship trained in neuromuscular neurology or clinical neurophysiology preferred
Ability to practice neuromuscular neurology exclusively
No inpatient call
Develop and participate in Norton Neuroscience Institute multidisciplinary subspecialty clinics, including an ALS clinic
Collaborate with the team to expand electromyography services
Opportunity to participate in Norton Neuroscience Institute's annual Neuroscience Symposium, as well as other continuing medical education events
Weekly neuroscience clinical conference with neurosurgery and neurology providers
Research opportunities and support available through Norton Research Institute
Competitive compensation package, including sign-on bonus, relocation assistance and a production bonus option. For candidates coming out of fellowship, we offer up to $100,000 recruitment incentive, and as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) health care system, the candidate may qualify for federal student loan forgiveness. For experienced candidates relocating to the market, we offer a retention bonus of up to $60,000.

Job Responsibilities The physician is responsible for recording a detailed medical history of each patient in the electronic medical record, including, but not limited to, chief complaint, present condition, individual history, and family history. Performing appropriate physical examination of each patient. Analyzing reports and/or findings of tests and personal examinations in order to assess the medical condition of the patient, including diagnosing the patient's injury or illness and formulating a prognosis.
