Network Engineer
for our client (a world-renowned telecommunications company providing the technology and equipment that enables global mobile connectivity and 4G/5G networks).
This is an
Onsite
12–18 month contract role based in
Denver, CO , offering a competitive pay rate of
$59.00
per hour. This senior-level role requires a minimum of
10 years of experience
in radio network design, implementation, and optimization, with extensive leadership experience in large‑scale
4G LTE/5G NR
projects.
Compensation:
Competitive pay rate of
$59.00
per hour.
Benefits:

Duration:
12 to 18‑month contract.
Location:
Onsite in

Travel:
Travel is required, including training attendance in Plano (paid by the supplier).
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead the technical activities for five or more optimization projects, with demonstrated experience leading all technical activities for large‑scale (major metropolitan or statewide) network areas.
Perform detailed
LTE/5G optimization , including event analysis, addressing accessibility, retainability, and
HO success rate
issues.
Make recommendations for parameter changes and feature activations based on analyzing drive test data to improve system performance.
Utilize advanced optimization tools such as
TEMS Investigation ,
Actix ,
Agilent , and
R&S
to collect and analyze drive data and performance statistics.
Implement and experiment on
RAN features
relative to traffic analysis, understand the relationship between Handovers and Network Capacity, and operate the
vendor’s network performance management tool (NPMT) .
What We’re Looking For
Minimum ten (10) years’ experience
with BSEE/BSCS or applicable experience, with recent experience in
5G tuning/optimization systems .
Strong
leadership experience
required for managing technical activities in large‑scale telecommunications projects.
Experience working with
5G NR
and
4G LTE
services (multi‑vendor experience, such as Nokia, is beneficial).
Detailed understanding of
Layer 3 messaging
for 4G and 5G, and knowledge of how
IRAT
procedures affect network quality.
Expertise in tuning a loaded network and understanding the difference between artificial and real traffic loading.
Detailed knowledge of
KPIs
and the ability to make recommendations to improve them, including enhanced uplink tuning.
