Base pay range $58.00/hr - $58.00/hr

USC or GC holders only.

Location is either St Louis or Denver.

Position Summary We are seeking a highly experienced

RF Optimization Engineer with deep expertise in 5G tuning and optimization systems . This role requires strong leadership, technical oversight, and hands‑on optimization skills across large‑scale metropolitan or statewide projects.

Minimum Requirements

Education/Experience:

Minimum 10 years’ experience with BSEE/BSCS or equivalent.

Recent hands‑on experience with 5G tuning/optimization systems.

Leadership:

Leadership experience on 5+ projects.

At least 2 projects as the technical lead for all activities in large‑scale deployments (major metro or statewide).

Proven ability to organize technical teams, oversee work, and communicate effectively with project managers and customers.

Technical Expertise:

Experience with 5G NR and 4G LTE services.

Nokia multi‑vendor experience beneficial but not required.

Strong understanding of Layer 3 messaging for 4G and 5G.

Event analysis skills to address accessibility, retainability, and handover success rate issues.

Ability to recommend parameter changes and feature activations based on drive test data.

Proficiency with optimization tools: TEMS Investigation, Actix, Agilent, R&S.

Experience tuning loaded networks and differentiating artificial vs. real traffic loading.

Ability to collect/analyze drive data and performance statistics to solve complex issues.

Knowledge of IRAT procedures and their impact on network quality.

Understanding of carrier additions and their effect on 5G optimization.

Competence in implementing and experimenting with RAN features for traffic analysis.

Expertise in handovers, network capacity, and optimization strategies.

Detailed knowledge of ENM and optimization tools.

Strong KPI knowledge with ability to recommend improvements.

Experience with enhanced uplink tuning.

Deep understanding of LTE/5G optimization.

Additional Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently while managing project and customer expectations.

Strong coordination skills across departments, divisions, and partner companies.

Ability to identify and interpret customer requirements and develop actionable plans.

Training & Certifications

Supplier must ensure personnel have all required qualifications and certifications prior to starting work (including ergonomics and refresher training).

Supplier is responsible for tracking and funding 40 hours of training annually (in Plano), including fees, travel expenses, and compensable travel time.

Will cover time spent in required weekly safety sessions and any additional training approved by the Resource Manager.
