Electrical Engineer – Capital & Mega EPC Projects
Base pay range:
$165,000.00/yr – $175,000.00/yr
Location: Greenway Plaza, Houston, Texas (onsite, 5 days per week)

Overview
Our client, a leading player in the energy infrastructure and clean technology sector, is seeking an experienced
Electrical Engineer
to lead the electrical design and support for large capital projects, ensuring compliance, quality, and safety across the full lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Lead electrical design from concept through construction for large capital projects.
Develop specifications, technical data sheets, and bid evaluations for electrical equipment and packaged systems.
Coordinate with suppliers, project managers, and multi‑discipline engineering teams to ensure quality and compliance.
Manage schedules, budgets, and change orders while ensuring project deliverables meet technical and safety standards.
Oversee construction support, testing, and field issue resolution.
Specify and review key electrical systems, including switchgear, transformers, VFDs, UPS systems, grounding, and protection schemes.
Support equipment procurement, factory testing, and QA/QC documentation.
Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards and specifications.
Mentor junior engineers and uphold high standards of safety, integrity, and technical excellence.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in
Electrical Engineering
(required).
10+ years
of experience designing electrical systems for large industrial or energy facilities.
Proven experience with medium and high voltage systems, power distribution, and motor control.
Strong understanding of industry codes and standards (NEC, IEEE, API, etc.).
Ability to interpret and create one‑line diagrams, schematics, and P&IDs.
Skilled in project cost estimation, scheduling, and construction coordination.
Proficient in
MS Office Suite
and familiar with tools such as
ETAP
or
SKM
for power system analysis.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel occasionally.
Preferred Experience
Exposure to hydrogen, ammonia, or renewable energy systems.
Experience with electrolysis systems, rotating equipment, and arc flash studies.
Advanced skills in electrical modeling and system coordination studies.
