Key Responsibilities
Scale support of several data center locations and day‑to‑day assistance with capacity management.
Work closely with internal customers and external vendors to facilitate smooth project execution as directed by Network Leadership and Technical Project Managers.
Leverage experience supporting large‑scale, enterprise‑class networks as well as network implementation and troubleshooting.
Assist in the development of innovative ways to automate and scale our network.
Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.
Collaborate with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
Troubleshoot networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
Specify power and cooling requirements and ensure hardware racking/stacking completed for new equipment.
Participate in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
Establish and follow best practices and refine operational procedures.
Physical Requirements
Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
Work in an environment that operates 24/7 with ability to participate in primary responder rotation and provide after‑hours support as needed.
Work in cramped and/or elevated and/or noisy environments.
Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand and walk for up to 8+ hours a day.
Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation.

This role will be based in Covington, GA, with reporting responsibilities to Lithia Springs, GA and Downtown Atlanta for a minimum of six months.
Travel Traveling within and outside of regional work area is required. You will be responsible for having a reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license to travel within the regional work area, as company transportation will not be provided.

Basic Qualifications
High school or equivalent diploma.
1+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with network hardware: copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers.
Data center experience.
Industry standard certifications such as CompTIA, CCENT, Network+.
Experience with common tools related to network troubleshooting, including VFLs, OTDR and power meters.
Understanding of infrastructure technologies, including routers, switches, load balancers and firewalls.
Knowledge of major command line protocols (Cisco IOS, JunOS, GNU/Linux) and common networking protocols (BGP, OSPF).
Compensation and Benefits The base pay for this position ranges from $55,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $125,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon may provide equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
