NW Deployment Build Lead, Infra - GND
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Network Deploy Technician to join our growing infrastructure operations team. You will work with minimum supervision in a dynamic environment to drive the stability and sustainability of AWS’s next‑generation networks and assist in developing innovative ways to automate and scale our network.
Key Job Responsibilities
Scale support of several data‑center locations and provide day‑to‑day assistance with capacity management.
Work closely with internal customers and external vendors to facilitate smooth project execution as directed by Network Leadership and Technical Project Managers.
Leverage experience supporting large‑scale, enterprise‑class networks, as well as network implementation and troubleshooting.
Manage work and priorities through a ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.
Collaborate with stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
Troubleshoot networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
Specify power and cooling requirements and ensure hardware racking/stacking for new equipment.
Participate in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
Basic Qualifications
2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
1+ years of computer networking experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment.
Data center experience and industry‑standard certifications (CompTIA, CCENT, Network+).
Experience with network troubleshooting tools including VFLs, OTDR and power meters.
Physical requirements: regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds; work in environments that operate 24/7, including primary responder rotation and after‑hours support; work in cramped, elevated and noisy settings; bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand and walk for up to 8+ hours a day; safely ascend and descend ladders, stairs and gangways.
Travel within and outside of the regional work area is required. You must have a reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
Compensation Base pay ranges from $50,600 per year in the lowest geographic market to $113,200 per year in the highest. Pay is based on location and may vary depending on experience. Total compensation may include equity, sign‑on payments and other benefits.
